Nigeria boy kidnaps a child in Toscana, Italy and threatens to throw her into a river: arrested

The protagonist of the gesture was a 27-year-old Nigerian who asked to see his wife and daughter again, removed on Saturday from the same reception center where the kidnapping took place

A 27-year-old Nigerian kidnapped a 2-year-old baby girl from the arms of her mother, a guest in a reception center in Mugello, toscana Italy; after about 2 kilometers it stopped on the bank of the river Sieve threatening to hit the child with a stick and throw it into the river. The man, who asked to see his daughter and wife removed Saturday from the same center after a complaint against him for mistreatment and sexual violence, was arrested.

The man, asylum seeker, first threatened some fellow countrymen of the reception center in Borgo San Lorenzo, in the province of Florence, accusing them of having testified against him on the incidents that led to the complaint against him of mistreatment and sexual violence against his wife, who was then taken to a protected facility.

After breaking through the doors of two apartments in the center, the Nigerian boy took by force the 2-year-old girl who was with her mother (guilty, according to the 27-year-old, to be among those who had denounced him). With the little girl in his arms the man managed to get out of the center and head towards the river. The Italian police "Carabinieri" arrived immediately on the spot. A patrol reached him and before he hit the child with a stick, he immobilized him and arrested him.

The child was transported to the emergency room of the Borgo San Lorenzo hospital for a light hypothermia condition and immediately discharged with the prognosis of a day, without any trauma.
